Arrive in Prague Friday Morning June 27th.
Team will hire a bus for the entire 9 days of our journey
Fri 6/27 – Meet at Prague Airport in morning an take bus to Pod Pipou Soccer Facility in Roudnice by noon. Check in and have a traditional Czech lunch. Central Bohemian Region Afternoon sightseeing – Melnik and Kokorin Castles. Early dinner in Roudnice. Some parents will stay in this hotel nearby.
Sat 6/28 – Off to Prague! Sightseeing in downtown Prague including lunch overlooking the Charles Bridge. Complete tour of the city with an English-speaking guide including a historic tram tour of the city. 2pm soccer game in Prague stadium against team SLAVIA boys. Small group dinner in old Prague downtown followed by more evening sightseeing.
Sun 6/29 – Morning in/around Roudnice including a leisurely hike to the top of the Rip mountain. Afternoon soccer game vs local youth team followed by evening dinner "king's regale" bar-b-cue & party with that team. Also, watch Euro Final with local town/team that evening.
Mon 6/30 – Morning visit a glass factory for 'hand's on' fun. Lunch and brewery tour in historic city of Plzen. Medieval times dinner event inside historic castle at Zbiroh.
Tues 7/1 – Check out of Roudnice accommodations to leave for Lednice in southern Moravia on the border of Austria & the Czech Republic. Visit historic Sternberg Castle late morning and have lunch there. Continue to Lednice by way of Brno stretching our legs there with a quick stroll around downtown. Spend the afternoon touring the Mroavian countryside around Lednice – visiting historic castles & sites. Dinner as a group at the hotel in Lednice.
Wed 7/2 –Walking tour of Vienna in the morning, home of the EuroCup 2008 Soccer Tournament, followed by a trip to the Holocaust Museum in Vienna. Lunch in Vienna near Prater Amusement Part - stay until 2:45. At 3:00pm, the boys arrive at the youth sport complex for a training session and spend the night with Jeff, Phil, and two other volunteer (fathers). Remaining parents & siblings have dinner in Lednice that evening.
Thu 7/3 – Morning game against a local team at Hollabrunn. Lunch at Cobenzl overlooking the Danube followed by a walk through the Vienna Woods. Afternoon tour of Vienna with a professional guide. Visit the Gringing District, Beethoven's home and complete sightseeing of 1st district (Roman ruins, Helden Platz, Spanish Riding School, etc.). Dinner at a local Vienna restaurant.
Fri 7/4 – Return to Hollabrunn for a game against U14 German team 10am - Noon. Independent lunch on the Danube. Return to Prater from 2pm - 4pm. Grand Finale dinner in the Vienna Woods to cap off the trip.
Sat 7/5 – Flights from Vienna airport.
